New File Transfer Feature Added In Gmail Chat

Hello Friends, I am daily using Gmail Chat and I am addicted to it, Some time ago Google Introduced Video and Voice chat in Gmail by which users can make Voice and Video Chat from Gmail Chat. Voice and Video Chat is still not available in Google Talk but Google Talk having Feature to send/receive files to/from from other users. Recently Google has introduced file transfer feature in Gmail chat but still you can see this feature in iGoogle and Orkut, This feature is not available in Gmail yet.Below are the steps that how can you use file transfer in iGoogle and Orkut.

If you want to see or use this feature then open iGoogle then add Gmail to iGoogle and then check chat widget at left bottom or you can check your orkut account, if you dont have enable chat in orkut then you can do it by going to setting in Orkut .In chat When you click on any user it will open one chat window like Gmail which will look like shown below :

– If you want to send a file to that user then select Actions on top and then select Send a File… option, it will ask you to select a file. When you select a file to send, other user will get accept and decline option.

– When click on Accept by the other user it will open one window asking for open or save file (or it will start download files to your default folder set by your browser.) after selecting save option Gmail start to send file to other user and save it to that place which user selected.

Currently Gmail chat not allowed to send more then 100 MB file.
