New Google Map (Labs) With New Features
Posted by in GoogleHello Friends, Google Map is very useful for find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in around the world. Google Map currently having so many features like zooming to any map area, view photos, videos, webcams, wikipedia,real state properties location wise, Live traffic change statistics in all around the world, three types of looking map, satellite, terrain. Whenever google added or having new features in any of its services or products then google called it labs experiments. Currently Google added new features in Google map and named it Google Map Labs.
If you want to check Google Map labs with New experimental features then go to http://maps.google.com/ where you will see one flask icon and text “New” beside it at top right.
When you click at New with Flask icon, it will open one overlay like shown below :
In that overlay select enable for Drag ‘n’ Zoom , Aerial Imagery and Back to Beta and then click on save changes. When you click on Save changes it will open Google map Labs version(you can see Google Map logo at left top will change to Google Map beta, Also showing that logo below.) with one pop up of Aerial Imagery which having some example of Aerial Imagery. So to see what is aerial Imagery click on one of the link present in that box. Check image below :
When you click on any of example link for aerial imagery it will open aerial imagery in google map which is the new feature of new google maps. Also you can see one rotation circle for aerial imagery at that time(Shown in image below) and one pop up box for Drag ‘n’ zoom functionality. Check image below :
Now if you want to enjoy Drag ‘n’ Zoom functionality then click on Drag ‘n’ zoom icon, After clicking select some area on map and then leave that selection on that map. it will zoom that area at the highest level. Check image below:
Apart from this new Google map having Street view functionality with Drag me to Street. Check image Below:
Google Maps Lab also have these features :
- Where in the World Game: Guess the name of the country from satellite imagery.
– Rotatable Maps: This puts north facing downwards, for instance.
– What’s Around Here?: This will trigger a search for anything (“*”), showing the top places for a given location.
– LatLng Tooltip: Shows the latitude/ longitude of where your cursor is positioned.
